Auction result misses estimated price range
In February this year a collector was able to acquire the work Chess Game by Fletcher Martin for USD 408.00 (€ 384.83). This price was achieved in the auction Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fletcher Martin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Homage to Marciano in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 48,000.00 (€ 35,890.53).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Chess Game von Fletcher Martin für USD 408,00 (€ 384,83) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Coast to Coast | Live OnlineAmerican Art, including The Collection of Gail Feingarten Oppenheimer bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fletcher Martin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Homage to Marciano im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 48.000,00 (€ 35.890,53).
