Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Fletcher Martin could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Interiors auction, the work Fisherman'S Luck changed hands for USD 375.00 (€ 275.86) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fletcher Martin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Homage to Marciano in March 2007 with an auction result of USD 48,000.00 (€ 35,890.53).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Fletcher Martin konnte im Oktober 2013 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Interiors wechselte die Arbeit Fisherman'S Luck für USD 375,00 (€ 275,86) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fletcher Martin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Homage to Marciano im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 48.000,00 (€ 35.890,53).
