Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
This work without title by Fletcher Benton was worth USD 9,000.00 (€ 6,564.07) to a buyer in July 2007. This price was achieved in the auction Open House at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 3,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fletcher Benton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Yellow Lilly, which sold at auction in July 2015 for USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,601.74).

Die Arbeit ohne Titel von Fletcher Benton war einem Käufer im Juli 2007 USD 9.000,00 (€ 6.564,07) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Open House bei Christies in New York erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Für andere Arbeiten von Fletcher Benton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Yellow Lilly beobachtet, die im Juli 2015 für USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.601,74) versteigert wurde.
