Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Painted Steel Drawings III, 1991 by Fletcher Benton was sold in the Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,570.00 (€ 3,388.06). Admittedly, works by Fletcher Benton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Yellow Lilly in July 2015 with an auction result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,601.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Painted Steel Drawings III, 1991 von Fletcher Benton wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.570,00 (€ 3.388,06) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fletcher Benton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Yellow Lilly im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.601,74).
