Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art, which included the work Donut with Balls and X, 2003 by Fletcher Benton. The price achieved of USD 3,825.00 (€ 3,179.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Fletcher Benton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Yellow Lilly in July 2015 with an auction result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,601.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Donut with Balls and X, 2003 von Fletcher Benton zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.825,00 (€ 3.179,55) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fletcher Benton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Yellow Lilly im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.601,74).
