Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Diamond from the Rolling Disc Studies series, 1975 by Fletcher Benton was sold in the Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. The price achieved of USD 2,167.50 (€ 2,057.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by Fletcher Benton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Yellow Lilly in July 2015 with an auction result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,601.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Diamond from the Rolling Disc Studies series, 1975 von Fletcher Benton wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Made in CaliforniaContemporary Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.167,50 (€ 2.057,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fletcher Benton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Yellow Lilly im Juli 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.601,74).
