Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%

This artwork by Fletcher Benton achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in July 2007. In the Open House auction, the work Untitled (bronze watercolor #60) sold for USD 10,200.00 (€ 7,439.28) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Fletcher Benton; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Yellow Lilly sold at auction in July 2015 with the realized price of USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,601.74).

Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen

Dieses Kunstwerk von Fletcher Benton erzielte im Juli 2007 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Open House wurde die Arbeit Untitled (bronze watercolor #60) für USD 10.200,00 (€ 7.439,28) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Fletcher Benton; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Yellow Lilly im Juli 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.601,74).
