This artwork by Fletcher Benton achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in July 2007. In the Open House auction, the work Rectangle resting on cube sold for USD 5,760.00 (€ 4,201.01) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fletcher Benton - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Yellow Lilly, which sold at auction in July 2015 for USD 15,000.00 (€ 13,601.74).

Für andere Arbeiten von Fletcher Benton mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Yellow Lilly beobachtet, die im Juli 2015 für USD 15.000,00 (€ 13.601,74) versteigert wurde.
