A top price for Feng Guifen
This artwork by Feng Guifen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Running Script Calligraphic Couplet sold for HKD 81,250.00 (€ 8,876.93) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00. This high result makes Running Script Calligraphic Couplet the most expensive artwork by Feng Guifen that we have observed at auctions so far.
