Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Feng Guifen could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in June 2020 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script changed hands for HKD 15,000.00 (€ 1,722.91) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Feng Guifen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Running Script Calligraphic Couplet in May 2018 with an auction result of HKD 81,250.00 (€ 8,876.93).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Feng Guifen konnte im Juni 2020 bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online wechselte die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script für HKD 15.000,00 (€ 1.722,91) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Feng Guifen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Running Script Calligraphic Couplet im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 8.876,93).
