Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Felipe Castañeda could be acquired at Christies in New York in June 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Interiors auction, the work Untitled (Seated Nude) changed hands for USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,804.00) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Felipe Castañeda achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Maternity in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 91,000.00 (€ 58,483.29).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Felipe Castañeda konnte im Juni 2013 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Interiors wechselte die Arbeit Untitled (Seated Nude) für USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.804,00) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Felipe Castañeda erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Maternity im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 91.000,00 (€ 58.483,29).
