Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July last year Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, London, which included the work Scultura G (Nove cerchi) by Fausto Melotti. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 81,900.00 (€ 97,803.15), 17% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Fausto Melotti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Pioggia in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 548,750.00 (€ 625,682.41).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, London durch, in der auch die Arbeit Scultura G (Nove cerchi) von Fausto Melotti zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 81.900,00 (€ 97.803,15) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fausto Melotti auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Pioggia im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 548.750,00 (€ 625.682,41).
