Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2006 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Modern and Contemporary Chinese Paintings I & II, which included the work Dragon Among The Clouds by Fang Yi. The price achieved of HKD 24,000.00 (€ 2,410.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fang Yi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dragon in the Cloud, which sold at auction in November 2019 for HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,423.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2006 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Modern and Contemporary Chinese Paintings I & II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dragon Among The Clouds von Fang Yi zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 24.000,00 (€ 2.410,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Fang Yi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dragon in the Cloud beobachtet, die im November 2019 für HKD 81.250,00 (€ 9.423,50) versteigert wurde.
