The work Dragon in the Cloud by Fang Yi was worth HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,423.50) to a buyer in November 2019. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00 many times over. This high result makes Dragon in the Cloud the most expensive artwork by Fang Yi that we have observed at auctions so far.
