Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tiger by Fang Yi was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2006. The price achieved of HKD 26,400.00 (€ 2,651.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 25,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fang Yi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dragon in the Cloud, which sold at auction in November 2019 for HKD 81,250.00 (€ 9,423.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tiger von Fang Yi kam im Mai 2006 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 26.400,00 (€ 2.651,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 25.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Fang Yi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dragon in the Cloud beobachtet, die im November 2019 für HKD 81.250,00 (€ 9.423,50) versteigert wurde.
