Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art / Middle East, which included the work Arabian Horsemen by Faik Hassan. The price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,174.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Faik Hassan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Baghdadiyat in May this year with an auction result of GBP 190,900.00 (€ 222,113.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 20th Century Art / Middle East durch, in der auch die Arbeit Arabian Horsemen von Faik Hassan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.174,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Faik Hassan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Baghdadiyat im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 190.900,00 (€ 222.113,42).
