This artwork by Faik Hassan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November this year. In the Marhala: Highlights from the Dalloul Collection auction, the work The Fishermen sold for GBP 47,880.00 (€ 55,482.51) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Faik Hassan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Baghdadiyat in May this year with an auction result of GBP 190,900.00 (€ 222,113.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 92 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Faik Hassan erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Marhala: Highlights from the Dalloul Collection wurde die Arbeit The Fishermen für GBP 47.880,00 (€ 55.482,51) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Faik Hassan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Baghdadiyat im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 190.900,00 (€ 222.113,42).
