Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Faik Hassan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in June 2021. In the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including BaghdadiyatIraqi Masterpieces from the Madhloom and Makiya Collections auction, the work El-Allabat (The Curd Sellers) sold for GBP 106,500.00 (€ 124,100.19) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 50,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Faik Hassan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Baghdadiyat sold at auction in May this year with the realized price of GBP 190,900.00 (€ 222,113.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Faik Hassan erzielte im Juni 2021 bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including BaghdadiyatIraqi Masterpieces from the Madhloom and Makiya Collections wurde die Arbeit El-Allabat (The Curd Sellers) für GBP 106.500,00 (€ 124.100,19) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 50.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Faik Hassan; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Baghdadiyat im Mai diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 190.900,00 (€ 222.113,42).
