Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Faik Hassan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in London in November last year. In the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIThe Finale auction, the work Village Scene sold for GBP 60,780.00 (€ 70,430.14) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Faik Hassan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Baghdadiyat, which sold at auction in May this year for GBP 190,900.00 (€ 222,113.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Faik Hassan erzielte im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including Baghdadiyat Part IIIThe Finale wurde die Arbeit Village Scene für GBP 60.780,00 (€ 70.430,14) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Faik Hassan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Baghdadiyat beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für GBP 190.900,00 (€ 222.113,42) versteigert wurde.
