Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fragments by Faik Hassan was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art auction at Bonhams in London in May this year. The price achieved of GBP 44,800.00 (€ 52,125.10) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Faik Hassan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Baghdadiyat in May this year with an auction result of GBP 190,900.00 (€ 222,113.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fragments von Faik Hassan wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 44.800,00 (€ 52.125,10) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Faik Hassan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Baghdadiyat im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 190.900,00 (€ 222.113,42).
