Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Online | New York, which included the work UNTITLED by Fab 5 Freddy. The price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,844.02) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Fab 5 Freddy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Monumental Moment, which sold at auction in September 2012 for USD 23,750.00 (€ 18,473.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York durch, in der auch die Arbeit UNTITLED von Fab 5 Freddy zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.844,02) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Fab 5 Freddy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Monumental Moment beobachtet, die im September 2012 für USD 23.750,00 (€ 18.473,86) versteigert wurde.
