Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Complex 2 by Eva Hild was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 11,250.00 (€ 8,437.08). Admittedly, works by Eva Hild have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work “Komplex” sculpture in March 2010 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 36,965.84).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Complex 2 von Eva Hild im März 2012 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 11.250,00 (€ 8.437,08) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eva Hild auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit “Komplex” sculpture im März 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 36.965,84).
