Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wannon Parsonage, c.1868 by Eugene von Guerard was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Bonhams in Sydney in November 2021. It changed hands for a price of AUD 147,600.00 (€ 130,769.91) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eugene von Guerard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian The Great Lake, Tasmania in August 2007 with an auction result of AUD 1,860,000.00 (€ 1,112,236.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Wannon Parsonage, c.1868 von Eugene von Guerard wurde im November 2021 in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Bonhams in Sydney versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 147.600,00 (€ 130.769,91) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eugene von Guerard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Australian The Great Lake, Tasmania im August 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 1.860.000,00 (€ 1.112.236,64).
