Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian A View From Daylesford Towards The Pyrenees by Eugene von Guerard was auctioned at Sothebys in Sydney in April 2008. The price achieved of AUD 300,000.00 (€ 181,506.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eugene von Guerard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian The Great Lake, Tasmania in August 2007 with an auction result of AUD 1,860,000.00 (€ 1,112,236.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Australian A View From Daylesford Towards The Pyrenees von Eugene von Guerard kam im April 2008 bei Sothebys in Sydney zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 300.000,00 (€ 181.506,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 250.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eugene von Guerard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Australian The Great Lake, Tasmania im August 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 1.860.000,00 (€ 1.112.236,64).
