In December this year Christies in Paris held the auction Contemporary Art – online sale including ‘’A Lifetime Collection’’, which included the work À propos des roses by Eugène Leroy. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 47,880.00 60% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Eugène Leroy; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in June 2021 with the realized price of EUR 94,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Art – online sale including ‘’A Lifetime Collection’’ durch, in der auch die Arbeit À propos des roses von Eugène Leroy zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 47.880,00 und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Eugène Leroy; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juni 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 94.500,00.
