Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Sothebys in Paris held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included this untitled work by Eugène Leroy. It changed hands for a price of EUR 1,890.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène Leroy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 94,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Eugène Leroy zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 1.890,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugène Leroy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 94.500,00.
