Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Eugène Leroy achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in December last year. In the Art contemporain auction, the work Couple sold for EUR 63,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 30,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Eugène Leroy; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in June 2021 with the realized price of EUR 94,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Eugène Leroy erzielte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Art contemporain wurde die Arbeit Couple für EUR 63.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 30.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Eugène Leroy; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juni 2021 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 94.500,00.
