Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Unknown by Etsuzan Doshu was sold in the Japanese Art & Design Including Arts of The Samurai auction at Christies in London in November 2011. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,125.00 (€ 3,648.12). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Etsuzan Doshu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Autumn Moon, circa 1708, which sold at auction in April 2015 for USD 16,250.00 (€ 14,558.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Unknown von Etsuzan Doshu wurde im November 2011 in der Auktion Japanese Art & Design Including Arts of The Samurai bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.125,00 (€ 3.648,12) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Etsuzan Doshu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Autumn Moon, circa 1708 beobachtet, die im April 2015 für USD 16.250,00 (€ 14.558,32) versteigert wurde.
