This artwork by Etsuzan Doshu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in April 2015. In the An Inquiring Mind: American Collecting of Japanese and Korean Art auction, the work Autumn Moon, circa 1708 sold for USD 16,250.00 (€ 14,558.32) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. This high result makes Autumn Moon, circa 1708 the most expensive artwork by Etsuzan Doshu that we have observed at auctions so far.
