Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Oiseaux, mannequins, November 21, 1958 (2 works) by Erté was sold in the Prints & MultiplesSummer Splash auction at Bonhams in New York in August this year. Here, the upper estimate of USD 4,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 4,480.00 (€ 4,133.22). Admittedly, works by Erté have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Maquette de costumes et décors in April last year with an auction result of EUR 37,800.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Oiseaux, mannequins, November 21, 1958 (2 works) von Erté wurde im August diesen Jahres in der Auktion Prints & MultiplesSummer Splash bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 4.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 4.480,00 (€ 4.133,22) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Erté auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Maquette de costumes et décors im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 37.800,00.
