Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In August this year Bonhams in New York held the auction Prints & MultiplesSummer Splash, which included the work Brochantes, mannequin (for Narcisse), September 8, 1959 by Erté. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,304.00 (€ 2,125.66), 15% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Erté achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Maquette de costumes et décors in April last year with an auction result of EUR 37,800.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im August diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Prints & MultiplesSummer Splash durch, in der auch die Arbeit Brochantes, mannequin (for Narcisse), September 8, 1959 von Erté zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.304,00 (€ 2.125,66) und damit 15% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Erté erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Maquette de costumes et décors im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 37.800,00.
