Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2017 Phillips in New York held the auction Latin America, which included the work Colonia by Ernesto Neto. Here, the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 18,750.00 (€ 16,687.43). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ernesto Neto - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled , which sold at auction in November 2014 for USD 75,000.00 (€ 60,299.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2017 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Latin America durch, in der auch die Arbeit Colonia von Ernesto Neto zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 18.750,00 (€ 16.687,43) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Ernesto Neto mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled beobachtet, die im November 2014 für USD 75.000,00 (€ 60.299,08) versteigert wurde.
