It achieved a price of GBP 59,475.00 (€ 67,960.55), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 70%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ernest Shepard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Here Is Edward Bear, Coming Downstairs Now, Bump, Bump, Bump, On The Back Of His Head, Behind Christopher Robin.", which sold at auction in December 2012 for GBP 139,250.00 (€ 171,733.92).

Die Arbeit Pooh's musical circle von Ernest Shepard kam im Juli 2013 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 59.475,00 (€ 67.960,55) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 70%. Für andere Arbeiten von Ernest Shepard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Here Is Edward Bear, Coming Downstairs Now, Bump, Bump, Bump, On The Back Of His Head, Behind Christopher Robin." beobachtet, die im Dezember 2012 für GBP 139.250,00 (€ 171.733,92) versteigert wurde.
