Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Bonhams in London held the auction FootballThe Beautiful Game, which included the work Footballerina: He would leap over the head of the opposing half-back by Ernest Shepard. It changed hands for a price of GBP 768.00 (€ 884.71) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ernest Shepard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Here Is Edward Bear, Coming Downstairs Now, Bump, Bump, Bump, On The Back Of His Head, Behind Christopher Robin." in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 139,250.00 (€ 171,733.92).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion FootballThe Beautiful Game durch, in der auch die Arbeit Footballerina: He would leap over the head of the opposing half-back von Ernest Shepard zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 768,00 (€ 884,71) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ernest Shepard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit "Here Is Edward Bear, Coming Downstairs Now, Bump, Bump, Bump, On The Back Of His Head, Behind Christopher Robin." im Dezember 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 139.250,00 (€ 171.733,92).
