The work ‘The Bandits Feast’ (‘I’Ve Said It Once, And I’Ll Say It Again, The British Are Starving Europe’) by Ernest Shepard was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2018. It achieved a price of GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,131.03), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 72%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ernest Shepard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Here Is Edward Bear, Coming Downstairs Now, Bump, Bump, Bump, On The Back Of His Head, Behind Christopher Robin." in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 139,250.00 (€ 171,733.92).

Die Arbeit ‘The Bandits Feast’ (‘I’Ve Said It Once, And I’Ll Say It Again, The British Are Starving Europe’) von Ernest Shepard kam im März 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.131,03) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 72%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ernest Shepard erzielen.
