Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cleopatra And The Lion Dropping The Pilot by Ernest Shepard was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2018. The price achieved of GBP 938.00 (€ 1,067.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ernest Shepard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work "Here Is Edward Bear, Coming Downstairs Now, Bump, Bump, Bump, On The Back Of His Head, Behind Christopher Robin." in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 139,250.00 (€ 171,733.92).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 938,00 (€ 1.067,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden.
