Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Union Square by Ernest Fiene was sold in the American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2012. The price achieved of USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,375.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ernest Fiene have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Winter Day, Pittsburgh in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 33,118.43).
