Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ernest Fiene achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Paris in May this year. In the American Art auction, the work Cityscape sold for USD 10,240.00 (€ 9,611.41) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ernest Fiene - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Winter Day, Pittsburgh, which sold at auction in November 2018 for USD 37,500.00 (€ 33,118.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ernest Fiene erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Art wurde die Arbeit Cityscape für USD 10.240,00 (€ 9.611,41) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Ernest Fiene mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Winter Day, Pittsburgh beobachtet, die im November 2018 für USD 37.500,00 (€ 33.118,43) versteigert wurde.
