Auction result well in line with expectations
The work There'S Enough To Go Around by Erik Schmidt was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2018. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,073.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Erik Schmidt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ein Langer Sommer (A Long Summer), which sold at auction in May 2010 for USD 15,000.00 (€ 12,127.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit There'S Enough To Go Around von Erik Schmidt kam im März 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.073,05) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Erik Schmidt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ein Langer Sommer (A Long Summer) beobachtet, die im Mai 2010 für USD 15.000,00 (€ 12.127,09) versteigert wurde.
