The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,375.00 69% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Erich Büttner; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Strand bei Heringsdorf nach Hochwasser sold at auction in December 2013 with the realized price of EUR 4,875.00.

Die Arbeit „Strand in Graal“. von Erich Büttner wurde im August 2021 in der Auktion Online Only 2021/2022 - Third Floor Online Only 23.7.-8.8.21 bei Grisebach versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.375,00 und damit 69% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Erich Büttner; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Strand bei Heringsdorf nach Hochwasser im Dezember 2013 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 4.875,00.
