It achieved a price of GBP 17,500.00 (€ 19,929.23), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 46%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eric Kennington - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Trees at the Somme, which sold at auction in October 2007 for GBP 50,900.00 (€ 73,095.75).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 17.500,00 (€ 19.929,23) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 46%. Für andere Arbeiten von Eric Kennington mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Trees at the Somme beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für GBP 50.900,00 (€ 73.095,75) versteigert wurde.
