Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ruins Of War by Eric Kennington was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2020. The price achieved of GBP 6,300.00 (€ 7,032.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eric Kennington achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Trees at the Somme in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 50,900.00 (€ 73,095.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ruins Of War von Eric Kennington kam im November 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.300,00 (€ 7.032,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eric Kennington erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Trees at the Somme im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.900,00 (€ 73.095,75).
