Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of A Girl by Eric Kennington was auctioned at Bonhams in March this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 765.00 (€ 870.34) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eric Kennington achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Trees at the Somme in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 50,900.00 (€ 73,095.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait Of A Girl von Eric Kennington kam im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 765,00 (€ 870,34) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eric Kennington erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Trees at the Somme im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 50.900,00 (€ 73.095,75).
