Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Sir John Shuckburgh, 3rd. Bt, three-quarter-length, in a blue velvet coat, holding a crop, standing in a landscape with his hound by Enoch Seeman was auctioned at Bonhams in December last year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,650.00 (€ 8,636.10) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Enoch Seeman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of A Gentleman In Moroccan Dress, Probably John Montagu, 2Nd Duke Of Montagu (1690-1749) in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 59,410.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Sir John Shuckburgh, 3rd. Bt, three-quarter-length, in a blue velvet coat, holding a crop, standing in a landscape with his hound von Enoch Seeman kam im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.650,00 (€ 8.636,10) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Enoch Seeman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of A Gentleman In Moroccan Dress, Probably John Montagu, 2Nd Duke Of Montagu (1690-1749) im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 59.410,40).
