In the Important British Paintings auction, the work Portrait Of Mary, Lady Arundell Of Wardour (1716-1769) sold for GBP 11,250.00 (€ 15,752.91) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Enoch Seeman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of A Gentleman In Moroccan Dress, Probably John Montagu, 2Nd Duke Of Montagu (1690-1749), which sold at auction in December 2015 for GBP 43,750.00 (€ 59,410.40).
