Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait of A Gentleman, Half-Length, In A Brown Velvet Coat With A Cloak by Enoch Seeman for GBP 2,640.00 (€ 3,853.54). This price was achieved in the auction British and Victorian Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Enoch Seeman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of A Gentleman In Moroccan Dress, Probably John Montagu, 2Nd Duke Of Montagu (1690-1749) in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 59,410.40).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
