The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,750.00 (€ 12,239.06), 46% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Enoch Seeman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of A Gentleman In Moroccan Dress, Probably John Montagu, 2Nd Duke Of Montagu (1690-1749) in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 59,410.40).

Die Arbeit Portrait of Anne Columbine (c.1711-1771), three-quarter-length, in a white silk dress, leaning on a draped stone ledge in a garden von Enoch Seeman wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 12.239,06) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Enoch Seeman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of A Gentleman In Moroccan Dress, Probably John Montagu, 2Nd Duke Of Montagu (1690-1749) im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 59.410,40).
