Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Day Sale, which included the work Portrait Of A Gentleman, Half-Length, In A Blue Coat And Red Waistcoat With Gold Brocade by Enoch Seeman. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,426.35) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Enoch Seeman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of A Gentleman In Moroccan Dress, Probably John Montagu, 2Nd Duke Of Montagu (1690-1749) in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 59,410.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Gentleman, Half-Length, In A Blue Coat And Red Waistcoat With Gold Brocade von Enoch Seeman zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.426,35) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Enoch Seeman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of A Gentleman In Moroccan Dress, Probably John Montagu, 2Nd Duke Of Montagu (1690-1749) im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 59.410,40).
