In the British Pictures 1500-1850 auction, the work Portrait of Lady Caroline D'Arcy, Countess of Ancram, full-length, in a grey satin dress, beside a column, before an archway, with a landscape beyond changed hands for GBP 11,750.00 (€ 18,717.64) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Enoch Seeman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of A Gentleman In Moroccan Dress, Probably John Montagu, 2Nd Duke Of Montagu (1690-1749), which sold at auction in December 2015 for GBP 43,750.00 (€ 59,410.40).
