Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Dudley North (1707-1764), three-quarter-length, in a blue velvet coat and a gold embroidered waistcoat, holding a tricorn, a landscape beyond by Enoch Seeman was sold in the THE SIR RALPH AND LADY HALPERN COLLECTION auction at Christies in London in February 2005. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 7,308.65) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Enoch Seeman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of A Gentleman In Moroccan Dress, Probably John Montagu, 2Nd Duke Of Montagu (1690-1749) in December 2015 with an auction result of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 59,410.40).

Die Arbeit Portrait of Dudley North (1707-1764), three-quarter-length, in a blue velvet coat and a gold embroidered waistcoat, holding a tricorn, a landscape beyond von Enoch Seeman wurde im Februar 2005 in der Auktion THE SIR RALPH AND LADY HALPERN COLLECTION bei Christies in London versteigert.
